Byron Katie

Byron Katie’s “Nine Day School for The Work” was by far one of the most transformational experiences of my life. I can’t recommend enough how helpful digging into her offerings as a daily practice can be to cultivating consciousness.

All of her books are wonderful but two of my favorites are:

“Loving What Is” & “Your Inner Awakening” (buy them on CD so you can listen to her voice!)

Visit www.thework.com for free resources and to learn more.

Dr. Dan Siegel

No parenting library is complete without Dan’s books. I gobble up everything he puts out for parents and study with him online any chance I get.

Don’t miss “The Whole Brain Child”, “Brainstorm”, “No Drama Discipline”, or “Parenting from the Inside Out”. You can learn about these books and Dan’s other offerings here.

Eckhart Tolle

I keep Eckhart’s CD’s of “The Power of Now” and “A New Earth” in my car so I can listen to his teachings as I move through the world.

His books and offerings are some of the most valuable I have experienced. You can learn more about him here.

Dr. Shefali Tsabary

I purchased “The Conscious Parent” a few years back while browsing Amazon for books on mindful parenting. I have since read the book from cover to cover many times and continue to study with Dr. Shefali 1:1 as well as through her online teleclasses.

She also wrote a wonderful book titled “Out of Control, Why Disciplining Your Child Doesn’t Work and What Will”.

Jon Kabat-Zinn

Jon’s efforts and research have paved the way for mindfulness to step into the mainstream in modern day households as well as in medical settings.

His mindfulness teachings, MBRS programs and countless books are a staple in cultivating presence and embodiment. Many of Jon’s resources can be found here.

Gordon Neufeld

Gordon Neufeld’s book “Hold on to Your Kids” is one I return to over and over again.

He offers wonderful online courses along with a fresh perspective on developmental psychology. His study of attachment theory is core to my philosophy of parenting.

- COMMUNITY -

I’M HONORED TO STAND ON THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE WITH THE MINDFUL SCHOOLS.

They train the world’s educators on mindfulness and offer a wonderful online mindfulness fundamentals class along with curriculum training and in-person offerings.

DID YOU NOTICE THAT ADORABLE MEDITATOR IN MY BLOG’S LOGO?

Leah Pearlman, the founder of Dharma Comics, designed her. I couldn’t possibly do Leah justice in describing her creativity and attention to growing as a human being. She is simply a wonderful spirit on this earth and I encourage you to explore her work and spread the word.

THE FIRST TIME I OPENED UP THE WISDOM 2.0 WEBSITE I WAS STUNNED.

I thought to myself, “Hey! These are my people! My tribe!” I was blessed to meet Soren Gordhamer, the founder of the conference, during the time I worked for Twitter. He is one of my dearest friends and inspires me every day to live mindfully and wisely. It has been my honor to act as an advisor to the conference for many years.

THE FIRST TIME I HELD THE TILT MODEL IN MY HANDS I KNEW IT WOULD MAKE A HUGE IMPACT ON MY COACHING WITH OTHERS.

Little did I know the impact it would have on supporting my own developing as a human being. Tilt can be used not only by leaders, but anyone wishing to walk down the path of self-discovery. This continues to be the only model and assessment I choose to utilize during my coaching work. I’m proud to serve as one of their advisors.
